The Build Phase — Reclaiming Your Voice and Your Energy

Updated: Sep 19

Build is where your fire starts to return. It’s the spark after the quiet. The cautious yes after a long season of no.

You’re starting to feel like yourself again — but not the old version. This is a new you, shaped by what you’ve survived.

You’re setting boundaries… and sometimes second-guessing them. You’re testing your voice in small ways, speaking truths that feel risky, dreaming dreams that scare you a little.

This is not the phase for perfection or nonstop forward motion. It’s the phase for protecting your energy as you try, retreat, and try again.

Here’s how to tend to your mind, body, and soul in Build — so you can grow without burning out.

Mind: Keep a Boundary Log

In Build, the mind can flip between bold confidence and anxious doubt. To ground yourself:

  • Each day, jot down moments you kept a boundary — no matter how small

  • Note how you felt before and after

  • Celebrate keeping the promise to yourself, even if it was uncomfortable

Body: Practice Power Breathing

You’re reclaiming energy, but your body still needs cues of strength:

  • Stand with feet hip-width apart, shoulders back

  • Inhale deeply through the nose for 4 counts

  • Exhale through the mouth for 6 counts

  • Repeat for 2–3 minutes while imagining your spine lengthening

Soul: Vision Sketching

Let your soul imagine again without pressure to act:

  • Take 10 minutes to sketch or write about a life that feels most “you”

  • Focus on feelings, images, colors, textures — not logistics

  • Keep it private if you’re not ready to share; this is for you

Build is raw and real. It’s where you learn to trust your own voice again — and to use it wisely.

You don’t need to sprint. You just need to keep showing up for yourself, one boundary, one breath, one dream at a time.

When routines start to feel natural and your energy stretches outward, you may be entering the Expand Phase.
